There won’t be any historic photos or tearful reminiscences of the first Margó events at the Gozsdu Manó Club, the Corvintető or the Castró. These places are no longer there anyway. The monument erected for Margó will not be larger than what it deserves – just the size it fits in. The story of how András Csejdy and László Valuska set out from Troy to realize the Margó Literary Festival will not be told in glorious hexameters.
Margó was born on the margin, and writers, publishers, musicians, translators and readers have all contributed something to it over these 15 years. We are celebrating Hungarian literature on this evening, with poetry, dance and music.
A variety show, a big gala, oodles of literature.
This programme of the Liszt Fest is presented by Müpa Budapest as a joint event with Kultúrkombinát Kft.
