Step into a cinematic, mythical world in Recirquel’s latest monumental immersive production, where gods and mortals, intrigue and love, devastating battles and bustling crowds await. What is presented at the Liszt Fest is a preview performance and not the final, fully rehearsed production, where the creators will test the show in collaboration with the viewers.
A mythical world opens its doors in the 6000-square-metre Great Hall of Millenáris. Europe’s biggest immersive show is a massive production with unparalleled visuals, an attraction that affects all the senses and is unique both in size and complexity. At the preview shows presented as part of the Liszt Fest, viewers can discover forty separate sets; what unfolds is not a theatre performance, but an entire universe where the audience becomes part of the story. The production is based on Virgil’s classic epic, Aeneid, whose themes include the tragic love of Aeneas and Dido, and which now comes to life in a modern form, through the language of contemporary circus and dance, in a cinematic setting. The heroes of ancient mythology are brought to life in scenery that is both retro and futuristic, while the audience is free to roam the labyrinth, the sacred spaces, the bustling marketplaces and military bunkers. The monumental battlefield, the gigantic throne, the cave of tanks and even the furniture that rises from the ground are all part of this special universe.

The visual world of Walk My World was created by Hungarian artists who have worked on some of Hollywood’s biggest films. Thanks to the joint work of Prop Factory, the set designers of Dune 2, Blade Runner 2049 and The Martian, the prop team who have proven their worth in international film productions, theatre set designers, architects and visual artists, Millenáris will be transformed into a space the likes of which have never been seen by Hungarian audiences before. One of the iconic pieces of the set is a five-metre tall, custom-made robot that embodies the Trojan Horse. The fearsome monster is capable of both wild movements and extremely delicate, sensual moves, making it a partner in an acrobatic number where man and machine dance together. In addition to the robot, there are a number of special structures added to the space: the flight instruments of an aircraft, a throne bathed in light, and 25 lavishly furnished booths converted from containers and military caravans, which also serve as the characters’ personal spaces.
The spectacle is filled with life by world-class performers. The acrobats and dancers from four continents include festival winners and the stars of major companies. During the two-and-a-half-hour show, you can see more than twenty different circus acts: artists flying twenty metres on a Russian swing, hair hang acts, Chinese pole, rhönrad, cyr wheel and stunts based on custom-made props. Dance will also play a key role, from classical ballet to contemporary improvisation, urban dance and parkour. The spectacular performance of Walk My World requires extremely complex preparation, with the artists training for months in acting, stunt work and dance techniques.
