Concept: FrenÁk
FrenÉsie is an ambitious choreographic concept that is based on an extraordinary element of the stage set. While depicting the fragility and stability of human relationships, the play presents a futuristic vision with the unstoppable whirl of bodies and explores existential questions about the future. The central part of the production is a destabilized, moving space, a special platform resembling a flying saucer or something torn out of space, which was conceptualized by FrenÁk and was designed by the architects of Terebinth Studio. The space created by the piece is brought into motion as the dancers shift their centres of gravity and tip over, creating a unique, tense and exciting dynamic (‘frenezit’). This special use of space symbolizes a to-and-fro movement between reality and illusion.

This performance of the Liszt Fest is presented by Müpa Budapest as a joint event with the FrenÁk Company.
