So many stories to tell – and so few of them can we tell ourselves. Meanwhile, we read and listen to others’ stories with diligence, but no matter how hard we try, more and more unread stories pile up on our real and virtual shelves. Whereas there are some we would like to read again: how would our favourite book respond to changes – like those taking place in us or happening to us? That was why we talked to Péter Nádas and György Spiró at the Margó Spring Literary Festival: the interpretation of a novel never ends, every story lives as long as it is related to the present in which it is read or listened to. The latest episode in the series is, irregularly, a band: 30Y. Their songs as stories are as exciting to us as their novel, or how they give a new reading to their own songs. We are moving the rehearsal room of 30Y to the stage of Margó, literally, to travel through time together, talking and making music all the while.
