Why do I have to provide so many details? Why aren’t my name and bank account number sufficient? Why provide the data underneath the barcode?

It takes great care and precision to handle the refunds. Our staff check every claim individually to ensure the correct amount is returned. You will find a string of characters underneath the barcode (e.g. 0022113434MUPAL, or 0011335667BUDAP); this is the information that makes it possible to identify a ticket unambiguously.

Should I enter the number of my bank card, or my bank account number?

Please provide your bank account number to ensure we can refund the price of the ticket. We find that most of the time we cannot complete a refund request because the bank card number has been provided instead of the bank account number.

I bought my ticket with a SZÉP card. How is the refund made?

The price of tickets purchased with the Széchenyi Recreation (SZÉP) Card will be refunded to the SZÉP card used for the purchase, up to the amount paid with the card. Any amount paid with other than a SZÉP card will be refunded to the bank account number you provided during registration.

I purchased more than one tickets for an event. Do I need to make separate claims?

If you purchased several tickets for an event, you can record them simultaneously, by separating two barcodes (character sequences) with a comma or slash (/).

I purchased tickets for more than one events. Do I need to make separate claims?

If you purchased tickets for several events, you need to make a separate claim for each event, i.e. you need to record them separately. Once you have entered the details for the ticket(s) for the first event, scroll down to choose another programme and enter the details of the next ticket.

Will you refund the handling charges/convenience fees I paid at the time of purchase?

We will not. Handling charges or convenience fees are charged by our reseller partners for the use of their service. As a consequence, these fees are not part of the ticket price, and we unfortunately cannot refund them. Please record only the price of the ticket in the appropriate field.

I haven’t received the refund. When can I expect the transfer?

Data are processed in the order they are received. If you enter data for two or more events at separate times, the sums will be refunded in two or more transfers. Processing the data, cancelling the ticket and initiating the transfer takes time, and we need to ask you to be patient. Please only contact us with a complaint about not receiving your refund if you cannot find the sum on your account even four weeks after recording your claim. How long do I have to make a claim for a refund?

Claims for a refund on tickets for cancelled events can be made up to thirty days after the event’s originally scheduled date.
