Slow Village, a hip hop act founded in 2016, released its third record, ‘;’ this year. The two DJs/producers, Slow (Bálint Zsigri) and ONE-AB (András Őrsi), and the three MCs, Tink (Mihály Balázsovics), Nash (Dénes Nagy) and Goulasch (Norbert Gergály) play rap music that has its roots in human and artistic reality, with head-bobbing grooves and distinctive loops, rhymes from the very heart of the scene, and traces of poetry, slam and some irony. A kind of B-boy roguery, an educated ghetto mentality, a real treat for those who like stronger flavours, drum patterns, samples, basslines from the small room straight to the main stage. It’s a tribute to the legendary Detroit Slum Village, following in the footsteps of Lootpack and Tribe Called Quest, with a rural romanticism for the 21st century.

This programme of the Liszt Fest is presented by Müpa Budapest as a joint event with Kultúrkombinát Kft.
